I’ve been lucky enough to work on several events which have gone on to win awards but I know a lot of time and effort goes into putting together the award applications so is it worth investing time and resource? I suspect whether an event has won awards is fairly low down the list of reasons to attend for most visitors but it may aid stand sales or sponsorship to a greater or lesser extent. Thoughts?.

I think being able to stick “award winning” in front of your name always helps elevate the product or show in your customers’ minds. It’s a feather in the cap for all who have worked on it too, so could be worth it on a personal level as well.
