So I have been questioning whether to start vlogging again or not and after some friendly pushes from some eventprof colleagues I figured Id give it a go again. Feedback and criticism welcomed!

Good stuff Paul. Enjoyed your vlog and will be taking that thought with me into the day job. I would suggest you get straight into the topic so you don’t give people a chance to tune out but otherwise I thought it was a good, bite size chunk of information which could make all the difference in how people approach communicating about their event.

Will you just be vlogging re event promotions or other aspects of organising?

Thank you Melissa! I will for sure implement your feedback into the next one. I will be covering everything and anything regarding meetings and events. I aim to have 2 - 3 short vlogs a week coming out.

2-3 a week is quite a commitment. Are you planning ahead or taking one week at a time?

(Paul Heil) #5

Since they are short videos I am filming . A few at a time. But it will depend on my schedule.

Nice one Paul!

I like the length - short and snappy, but good takeaways.

Next one maybe continuing the theme of communicating value but with references to pitching to sponsors? e.g. how to properly communicate the value of your event/audience to a sponsor.

(Had a sponsorship proposal in my inbox today that I thought was very poor - no thought put into why they were emailing me/the company and how to personalise the offering for us).

Awesome topic focus! I will definitely make on on that! Thanks Nick!

Love Slack! Interesting that you’re using it for ‘external’ comms. Do you think it could replace an events Twitter #?

Interesting use of Slack! Great vlogs - short, snappy and visually engaging with graphics
