Thanks Nick... I mostly used facebook, and would use it again, but with a better structure to the approach... it was done naively, and I didn't have great content for the ads until the show was almost ready to go. Now I have taken a lesson from a good marketer, I could make a better job of the ads, and also better job of tracking.
I also used the local ticket company as well to help. While their social media was helpful, the ticket sales was too far removed to get engagement before the event.. something that would have not cost much time, but really helped the experience further.
Finally, price point... something I have to review and work out if the event delivered the right value for the right price.
