We get involved in a lot of different styles of events for freelancers, these range from sponsorship of various meet ups where we try to have a presence at them, specific talks from our head accountant, especially during periods of stress for freelancers, eg self assessment, link up with various groups for talks around tax for specific group, eg musicians. Attending different conferences that would attract freelancers, or event specific groups of freelancers. So we are not always about lead generation, a lot of what we do is for awareness and also recruitment, and trying to get people to link back to our social media. We are very lucky that we have a client base who love us, and they happily tweet away and mention us on FaceBook as to why people should sign up to FreeAgent.
Our accounting events are more around bespoke events with our partner accountants, but also a huge event each year, which is THE accounting exhibition where we take a large stand and lots and lots of our staff to spread the word.
Certainly keeps me on my toes.
