Never apologise for using your naturel talents
Writing is a talent I have never been able to obtain, apparently I’m to honest and to the point, elaboration and content is something mystical to me. I tend to be blunt and economical with words as well as time. Where does your writing take you? I assume you are published? Where? Can I look it up?
Organizing is all about being aware of what can go wrong and heading it off at the pass. If you can imagine it, it can happen. Then you have to allow for everything you haven’t thought of! Just remember it will be alright on the night, smile and shower plenty of glitter and no one will realise you are paddling like crazy underneath. I love it.

There’s nothing wrong with getting to the point - it’s an essential skill for news writing when you’re short on space. In fact, keeping writing ‘tight’ is something many people struggle with. In answer to your question, I’m currently writing over at the Eventbrite blog, as well as features for Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine.
By the way, I love that analogy of the duck - it’s so perfect for event organisers!

I’m the event manager of a small software company and we’ve been organising tech seminar events across Europe and the US for 3 years now, with a typical crowed size of 30-60 participants. Hello All in Event Tribe,
I am the Sales & Marketing manager of a newly opened boutique hotel. I will be arranging and co-ordinating many events, and also working with event planners and guests and clients. I wanted to join so that I could be able to converse, share ideas, learn more to improve in my role and of course make sure every event we host is phenomenal, and to promote our events. Our hotel needs to grow substantially, and celebrations and events will be a big focus for us.

I have been involved in events before, worked for a Global Fortune 500 company, however was based then in South Africa. I am now based in Gower, Bishopston - so a new market really
