Arlene Coutee here, currently existing in Fort Lauderdale FL. Originally from
Chicago, IL. Grew up in performing arts, professional background in consumer manufacturing and marketing (product management and trade show management) Currently own an entertainment/event production boutique called Sweet Management Group. For the past 10 years, I’ve provided live entertainment to private clients/venues. I have been involved with a new member-based arts community for the past year and its been quite the eye-opening experience. I’m here to cry for a moment. Well yes, we have a standard event, Artwalk, which most cities in America host monthly. We are so young that the "chicken and the egg, cart & the horse (you get my drift) are many times confused because there are so little funds to allocate. My contribution is a small sound stage. It’s a platform for performing artist vendors to showcase their original content. So we have attractions. Now we nee vendors and attendees.

Hi All,

I am experienced in planning and delivering events, from CPD-accredited seminars to week-long conferences and exhibitions, many in conjunction with academic institutions, industry partners and funding bodies. Following a decade running conferences and events in academia, I went freelance in 2015.

I’m also a musician (with a University of Edinburgh BMus degree way back longer than I’d like!), and have spent the past 20 years planning (and sometimes performing in) and managing concerts for varied organisations. In this capacity I am currently General Manager for Music at Paxton, a small chamber music festival which runs each July in the gorgeous Scottish Borders.

I look forward to making new connections, sharing experiences and learning new things!
