Sponsorship week: How do you foster a good sponsor/organiser relationship?

Once you’ve got that sponsor on board, aside from delivering everything in the contract, what else can you do to foster a good sponsor/organiser relationship?

I guess by looking for further ways to make your relationship mutually beneficial, for example by trying to secure press coverage where the sponsor receives a good mention or negotiating a discount that you can both benefit from.

Yes, definitely and I think putting yourself in the place of the sponsor to think about what you’d want to see i.e. namechecks and branding at every opportunity, positive coverage of the event etc.
