Just getting started

Hi, so I’m starting an Event planning company. Potential problems with this is I have minimal experience in this field.

For me, I want to own my own business, this doesn’t seem so difficult to operate. My main concern is getting the phone to ring, and getting the word out.

My theory is that I can start from the bottom (like everything else) and do mid level birthday parties (50 ish people) , bbq events. I should work up to , for example large conventions. After being established for several years.

What I do have going for me, is I am employed and driven to start a business. This one being very low start up cost.
